1947 HC Heritage Press edition, in nice clean condition (without its original slipcase). A reprint of the 1611 Cambridge translation of the Biblical Book Of Ruth, which was prepared for King James I. This edition includes a preface by Mary Ellen Chase (an American educator, teacher, scholar, and author, who is regarded as one of the most important regional New England literary figures of the early twentieth century) and gorgeous set-in illustrations by Arthur Szyk (a Polish-born American Jewish artist who worked primarily as a book illustrator and political artist throughout his career).
